Privacy Policy

Dowser is built so that we see as little about you as technically possible. The short version: the extension runs entirely on your own computer, we don't have accounts, and we don't run analytics on you. This page explains the details.
What the extension collects
Nothing. The Dowser browser extension and the small local program it talks to run only on your machine. When your AI assistant finds, clicks, types, or reads a page, that all happens locally. No page content, screenshots, keystrokes, browsing history, or usage data is sent to us or to any third party. There is no account to create and no login.
What this website collects
When you buy a license on this site, two things are involved:
- Payment (Stripe). Checkout is handled by Stripe. Stripe collects your email and payment details to process the charge and is the data controller for that information. We never see or store your card number. See Stripe's privacy policy for how they handle it.
- Your license key. After payment, our server confirms the purchase with Stripe and generates a signed license key that includes your email. The key is shown to you on the receipt page. We do not keep a separate database of customers beyond what Stripe already stores for the transaction.
This site does not use tracking cookies or advertising pixels. It counts page views with DataFast in cookieless mode, which stores nothing on your device beyond the current tab session and gives us aggregate numbers, not a profile of you. It is hosted on Render, which keeps standard server logs (IP address, user agent, and time of request) for a short period, and the purchase page is processed by Stripe.
Your license is checked offline
The license key is verified on your own device using a built-in public key. Confirming that your license is valid does not require an internet connection and does not phone home to us.
If you email us for support or a refund, we'll use your email only to reply and to help with your request. We don't add you to a marketing list.
Data requests
Because we don't maintain our own customer database, most of your data lives with Stripe. To access or delete transaction data, contact us at akhilgorantala1@gmail.com and we'll help, including passing on requests to Stripe where needed.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of Dowser after a change means you accept the updated policy.
